Withernsea is a pleasant traditional seaside holiday resort 18 miles east of Hull. It is within reach of the M62 to the west and the Humber Bridge to the South. Its many attractions include fine sands, swimming pool / leisure centre and amusements with bowling alley for the kids, shopping for all the family, a friendly nightlife for all and pleasant local countryside particularly the renowned Spurn Head Bird Sanctuary.
The popular seaside towns of Hornsea and Bridlington to the North or inland to the historic towns of Beverley and York are only a short trip away.
Unique to the town is the lighthouse which is set back from the seafront. It is no longer in operation and is now used as a museum where you can climb to the top and enjoy the panoramic views over the town.
